After reading about Ralph's situation, a few of Ralph's former players created a trust fund to help ensure that he received the care he needed. Because such help never became necessary, the trust proceeds will be donated to an appropriate charity in Ralph's memory.
The trust is organized as a Special Needs Trust under New York law. It is managed by three trustees, all of whom played for Ralph:
Andrew Goldsmith is a lawyer in Washington, D.C.
Doug Thornell is a senior vice president at SKDKnickerbocker.
Greg Zumas lives in California.
